MBH-PET
MBH manufactures high-quality PET sheets extruded from premium virgin PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) resin. As a leading PET sheet supplier, we offer engineering-grade PET sheets with excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and superior dimensional stability — ideal for precision-machined parts in humid or wet environments.

Beyond supplying PET sheet and rod, MBH also works directly with clients on custom-machined parts based on their drawings. Over the years, we've found a few design details that are easy to overlook but make a real difference in part quality and turnaround time:
Tolerances. While PET offers excellent dimensional stability, tolerances copied directly from metal part drawings (e.g., ±0.02mm) are often unrealistic for standard machining conditions. We typically recommend working within ±0.1mm–0.2mm unless special process controls are specified — this keeps quality high without unnecessary cost or lead time.
Wall thickness. Parts with uneven wall thickness — thin sections next to thick, stepped areas — can develop mild internal stress during machining due to uneven heat release. We usually flag this during drawing review and can suggest either a more balanced design or a post-machining stress-relief (annealing) step to prevent warping over time.
Threaded holes near edges. PET is strong but has limited flexibility compared to some other engineering plastics, so threaded holes placed too close to a part's edge — or undersized for the thread — can chip or micro-crack during assembly. We recommend adequate edge clearance, and for parts requiring frequent disassembly, metal inserts are often a more durable option than direct tapping.
Surface finish requirements. If a part needs a specific surface finish (e.g., for visual inspection windows or cosmetic surfaces), it's worth specifying this upfront — feed rate and tooling selection directly affect the final surface texture, and unclear specs can lead to avoidable rework.
